Dear Verta,
You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers daily. Glenn was such a special man, such a role model for the young men today. I will always remember the night Jimmy and I rehearsed for Diane and Jack's wedding. As we performed "The Sweetest Story Ever Told",which was also sung at your wedding, Glenn never took his eyes off you. Such love and adoration are rare. May God bless and comfort you, the girls and family always and keep you safely in His love and care.
I love you,
Rachel

Dearest Verta, Susan, Diane & family: I am tremendously saddened to hear of the passing of Glenn. There will never be another like him. He was kind, generous, caring, and always had a smile and encouraging word for all who knew him. He & Daddy were best friends for many, many years. I remember when Daddy passed away in '76, Glenn hugged me, wiped away tears and then shared some amusing stories of he & Daddy's adventures in life. While I am so sad that he is no longer with us, I know Daddy was waiting for him & no doubt asked "what took you so long?" :) Now they are together again, laughing, joking & catching up on all the years that have passed since they were last together. I will try to turn my grief into contentment that 2 old friends are united again. Until it's our turn to meet them, try to take solace in that he is at peace in a much better world than we are left behind in. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
