OBITUARY 
James Edward Fodrie, Jr., 78, of Beaufort, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Carteret General Hospital.  He was born on December 12, 1931, in Beaufort, to the late James Edward and Grace Millican Fodrie.  He was a 1950 graduate of Beaufort High School and served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Fodrie graduated from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, NC and earned his Master of Education Degree at East Carolina University.  He was a teacher and coach in the Carteret County School System and was a Principal in the Onslow County School System.   

SERVICES
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Carteret Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Tyler, officiating.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Freda Garner Fodrie, sister, Jean Fodrie Musselwhite; and  granddaughter, Sydney Grace Fodrie, preceded him in death.
