OBITUARY 
Shane Jeffrey Williams, 19, of Newport, died July 2, 2010.  He was born in Portsmouth, VA on April 27, 1991 to Jeff and Donna Williams.  Shane was employed at the Carteret County Animal Shelter and was an avid animal lover.  Our beloved Shane loved his family whole-heartedly and cherished his many friends.  He entertained his family for countless hours perfecting his guitar skills and also loved riding his dirt bike, 4-wheelin with his friends, going to the beach and just hanging out with his family and friends.  Shane's smile was the light of our lives and will be greatly missed.

SERVICES
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Aldridge officiating.  The committal service will follow at Ameriah Garner Cemetery.

SURVIVORS
Left to cherish Shane's memory are his loving and devoted parents, Jeff and Donna Williams of Newport; his paternal grandfather, William Roger Williams of Suffolk, VA; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins with a special love for his Aunt Deb, Uncle Bill, Uncle Bo and many special friends.  His paternal grandmother, Shirley Williams, and maternal grandparents, James and Edith Mitchell, preceded him in death.

VISITATION
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
