Paula Bernadette Anderson Stevenson, 61, of Salter Path, died on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Carteret General Hospital. She was born on January 19, 1950, in Mt. Olive, to George Paul Anderson, Jr. and Claire Baggett Walker. Paula was a Eucharistic Minister and loved to be a substitute teacher for the kids at St. Egbert School. She was instrumental in helping form the Raleigh Catholic Diocese Youth and Young Adult Ministry Programs. Paula never saw a child she did not love and she was always there for them, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at St. Egbert Catholic Church, with the pastor, Rev. Douglas Smiley and Monsignor John Wall, presiding. Committal will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery, Newton Grove, at 4:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, December 5, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
