Ronald "Ron" Hardy Peacock

Ronald H. Peacock, 71, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away on September 18, 2023.

He was born September 10, 1952, in Fort Lee, Virginia, the son of Margaret Robena Whitehurst and Delton Hardy Peacock.

Ron graduated from the University of Florida Law School in 1980, and also served our country as a Commanding Brigade Staff Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. He lived an incredibly full and diverse life of adventure. In addition to practicing law and serving in the army, he was a Certified Public Accountant, photographer, volunteer wildlife officer, radio DJ, Antarctic researcher, sailor, pilot, writer, hunter, fisherman, musician, computer programmer, and so much more. A true Southerner, he never met a stranger.

He leaves behind a sister, Judith Lynn “Judy” (Peacock) Vardy, her husband, Michael Corbett; two nieces, Lindsey Holcomb and Meredith Vardy; daughter, Erin (Peacock) Douglass and her husband, John; grandchildren, Grant, Avery, Emerson, and Grey; daughter, Shannon “Maggie” (Peacock) Gunter and her husband, Dean; granddaughter, Hadley; daughter, Caitlyn (Peacock) Weintraub and husband, Kyle; grandsons, Bennett and Liam; many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Arrangements are pending at this time and will be made by Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City, North Carolina.
